I recently purchased a 1991 Scenic Cruiser camper that doesn't appear to have a gray water holding tank...can that be true!!!
Yes, it can be true. On the 1995 Shadow Cruiser that I used to own, the gray water tank was an option. We had the dealer order us one and installed it ourself.

RE: Smaller Cargo Nets
I purchased the Boatgo Storage Nets from Cabela's. They are item number FG-01-5250 and come in 42" or 52" length. I used a 42" net over each cabover window. The width stretches from 10" to 18" to accommodate bulky items.

We stayed two nights there a few years ago. In my opinion, the sites are very small but it was a good base to use while exploring the surrounding area. The owners were friendly and helpful. The bath house and campground were clean and well maintained. There were no on site planned activities when we stayed there.

I hauled a 9-1/2' hardside Shadow Cruiser on a F250. The Shadow Cruiser was narrow (7-1/2'), fairly lightweight, and had an aerodynamic fiberglass nosecone and fins on the rear of the camper. As best as I can remember, my mpg remained the same whether hauling the TC or not.

When I camped at Zilpo, work campers were running the place and collecting the fees. At that time, they were not collecting day use fees from those camping at the park. Day use fees were collected from people not camping there but came in to use the beach or boat ramp.
Sounds like the new work campers need to be properly trained.

Are you staying at Twin Knobs or Zilpo? The last time I was at Cave Run(2 years ago), I stayed at Zilpo and was not charged the day use fee.

The spouse and I did that quite often back in the early 80's. We were not at campgrounds but in parking lots near a boat ramp. Most of the time we would spend all the daylight hours out on the bass boat and come in at dark to sleep in the back of the truck. A few times we found a small cove to anchor in and slept on the floor of the bass boat.

FWIW, I hauled a 9-1/2' Shadow Cruiser on a Ford F250 towing a 20' fiberglass bass boat for several years. It handled well without any problems.

RE: Mysterious hose fitting on my camper
When we were looking at the 2001 1121 the salesman told us that fitting was for the water hose.:R After the sale, one of the technicians showed us how to use the manual slide crank. Check under the mattress or in the passenger side cabinet for the crank handle.
